absolutely relevant -- text actually is a "dumb-ing down" technology which ever requires lol'ds and OMG'ds emoticons to express the emotion of the words in a digital rather than an analog experience... Voice can be transported as packets up to layer 3 but then the voice packet becomes much more important since the emotion protocol must be agreed upon at the level of the human brain. It has taken millions of years to hone and develop this analog response... and I always go back to the reality that the human brain is an analog device... we are awed by digital media because it is so easy to organize but we should leave this low hanging fruit (and recognize it for what it is) as we improve the real holy grail which is the organization of analog information in an analog system (like the brain) which enables the storage and retrieval of organized communicated knowledge and opinion... thanks for an excellent presentation --- Ian

the last penultimate sentence should read "which enables the storage and retrieval of organized human communicated knowledge and opinion...
Emulating the human ecosystem will provide us with the most relevant and efficient results --- the brain is analog and we should always remember this simple example of the most efficient design... as we are proving every day, digital is a subset of analog but not visa versa... I am happy to discuss and learn so click into my life if  you have the inclination...
